Pada suatu sore, sanggar yang digunakan latihan oleh tiga orang penari tari srimpi dikejutkan oleh kedatangan sang pemilik sanggar, mbok giyem. Ayu yang merupakan murid sekaligus penari yang sangat antusias dalam melestarikan budaya terutama bidang tari lalu menghampiri sang pemilik sanggar. Di tengah temu sapa keduanya, mbok giyem lalu menceritakan kepada ayu tentang keluh kesahnya semakin zaman berkembang semakin sedikit pula orang yang ingin melestarikan budaya, terutama tari srimpi. Ayu yang mendengarkan keluh kesah mbok giyem lalu mencari bagaimana supaya dapat melestarkan budaya terutama tari dan disaat itulah dia menemukan sebuah kesempatam, yaitu audisi tari kreasi baru. Dengan berbekal konsep tari srimpi, Ayu mencoba memperbarui tari srimpi supaya dapat dinikmati khalayak umu, dan tentunya tanpa menghilangkan nilai estetika tari itu sendiri.
