Nakamura Hanae pergi ke kuil tua dan berdoa agar anjingnya taro kembali, setelah berdoa tiba2 dari belakang ada seorang anak kecil. Anak kecil itu mengajak hanae bermain tangkap menangkap dan kemudian menjahilinya.
Karena kesal, Hanae mencoba menangkapnya ,tapi dia mengalami kesulitan karena banyaknya jebakan. Pada saat itu Anak Kecil tersebut duduk di atas pohon berusaha menarik perhatian Hanae dan secara tidak sengaja cabang pohon yang didudukinya patah. Dengan sigap hanae menangkapnya, Anak kecil itu sangat senang dan permainan berakhir, tiba2 Anak itu menghilang bagaikan angin. Dari kejauhan ada suara anjing hanae dan di lehernya ada kertas bertulisan “Kapan-kapan kita main lagi yah kak”- Zashiki Warashi. Ternyata Kuil itu merupakan tempat dewa Zashiki Warashi.
