Hori Yoichi, sedang berbaring menikmati indahnya pagi hari di atap sekolah, dikejutkan oleh tumpukkan sampah yang dihamburkan kepadanya. Pelakunya bukan lain adalah Katsura Eire, komite kebersihan sekolah. Dia mengancam dan memaksa Hori untuk memunggut serta memilah sampah tadi untuk didaur ulang dalam rangka menyelamatkan alam. Awalnya Hori menolak dalam hati,tetapi setelah diingatkan akan kehancuran kampung halamannya akibat kerusakan alam, hati Hori pun luluh. Dengan sukarela Hori membantu Katsura, hanya, dia terakhir kewalahan menghadapi gelagat sifat Katsura yang spontanitas dan tak bisa ditebak.
